1. Tell us a bit about you and your professional qualifications & experience…

It all began with a BA Honours Degree in Dance from the University of Surrey, after a few years of teaching dance to kids and teenagers, I eventually fell into the fitness industry gaining my Personal Training, Gym Instructor & Exercise to Music qualifications. I teach a variety of things from Aqua to Zumba.. you name it, I’ve taught it! I worked at one of the countries leading health farm Champneys where I gained my Pilates qualification. From there I went on to work within the film industry training actors into their ideal shape for their demanding roles. I’ve also been very fortunate to have worked on a few big budget Hollywood films. I’ve been teaching Pilates for 13 years & I absolutely love it!!!

2. What got you into Dynamic Reformer Pilates in the first place and why do you like teaching it now?

Having taught mat Pilates for many years, reformer Pilates was the natural transition. I remember the first time I tried reformer I instantly became addicted! As much as I love mat Pilates, there are certain exercises that cannot be replicated onto the floor. The reformer is an amazing piece of equipment and it’s amazing how many different ways it can be used. It never gets boring!

3. What type of music do you like to play in class?

My music taste is so eclectic. I love so many genres and eras. At the moment I’m in the 80’s vibe…but by next week you may find me getting you to plank to some soul and funk.
